Booster, Booster: Be A Booster, Boost Our Bible School
As most of you know, last week’s bulletin was devoted almost entirely to the reorganization of our growth teams. Now, since I trust that we are all genuinely concerned about doing what we can to promote numerical and spiritual growth here, in this week’s bulletin I want to talk about a “tried and true” method for church growth!
It has been proven multiple times and in multiple places! What is it? Simply this: “As goes the Bible School, so goes the church!”This quarter in our adult classes, we are studying topics that all of us should be pleased to promote among our friends and acquaintances. On Sunday mornings, Tim Campbell is doing a first-class job of teaching “The First Principles of Doctrine.” Every man and woman in Wilson County would be blessed to sit at Tim’s feet and learn.
Hey, do you have friends that could profit from this class? Invite them to attend Tim’s class with you, even if they do not want to stay for worship at 11:00. Offer to pick them up, if they need transportation. Offer to study with them privately, if they have questions about anything they hear in class.
Now, in order for them to accept your invitation you will have to exhibit some excitement about our class program yourself. Prayabout it! Promote it! Support it by your attendance and participation.
The Wednesday evening class schedule was also planned and prepared to stimulate interest and attendance. Think about it! What could be more exciting to the Christian than the fact that in Christ he is more than a conqueror? His victory in Christ is assured and all he has to do is claim it!
Do you know of anyone who needs to know about the victory God has promised us over such things as: Hypocrisy, Temptation, or Loneliness? Bring them with you to Bible Study on Wednesday evening!
Remember: “As goes the Bible School, so goes the Church!” We are strong in the adult area of our teaching program, so let us go after adults. If we get them, they will bring their children. Therefore, all of our classes will grow.
Dear hearts, I do not know what the future holds; but I know Him who holds the future in His hands. I know that He will give the increase, if we will faithfully sow the seed of the kingdom. (Isa. 55:10-11). It is impossible for God to lie, therefore the future is as bright as the promises of God.
For His cause,
Carl
