Let Us Introduce Ourselves
By Way of Introduction
We are one of 35+/- of the congregations of the Lord’s Church in Wilson County, Lebanon, TN. We are located at 2427 Sparta Pike Lebanon, TN 37090, about 4.5 miles outside of Lebanon on Rt. 70 East travelling toward Watertown. Perhaps the following will help you feel more comfortable when you visit us for the first time knowing what to expect.
Our Worship is Simple and Devout
Our services are designed to draw each worshipper closer to God in order to strengthen our spiritual growth and service. Our worship service consists of only those elements found in the 1st Century New Testament Church as revealed to us in the Scriptures. We sing, pray, partake of the Lord’s Supper, hear the Word of God preached and give of our means in order to see that the Gospel is spread and to care for those in need. We seek to maintain the attitude which Christ taught His disciples when He said, “God is a spirit and those who worship Him worship in spirit and truth” John 4:24.
Our Authority is the Bible Only
Our source of authority for that which we do is found only in the Inspired Scriptures of the Bible. We seek to be governed in all that we do by God’s Holy Word. Since the Bible tells us that the Scriptures are sufficient for our every need (II Timothy 3:16-17), our preaching and teaching follow only that which is commanded in the Bible.
We offer a FREE Bible Correspondence Course that you may complete in the privacy of your own home. Just call, e-mail or write us.
We Are Christians Only
When the people of the early Church first came together through obedience to the teaching of the Apostles, as they were directed through the Holy Spirit, they were called Christians, Acts 11:26. The Apostle Paul taught that there should be no divisions as we see today, I Corinthians 1:10.
You Will Never Be Embarrassed
When you visit with us, you are our “welcomed and respected” guest. At the close of the sermon, those wishing to become a Christian are invited to come to the front of the auditorium to let your desires be made known, but you will never be singled out for public attention. People are urged from the pulpit to hear the gospel, believe it, repent of their sins, confess Christ, and put Him on in baptism for the remission of their sins, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, Galatians 3:27. This is how one yields to “God’s way for salvation.” Upon your request we will make Free Bible Correspondence Courses or personal home studies available.
You Will Find a Friendly Atmosphere
We believe that friendliness is a natural attribute among people who truly love God. As our guest you will receive a warm welcome as well as the courtesy and cordiality of our “Christian Family”. We truly hope that you will accept our invitation to come visit and worship with us soon. It will be our pleasure to “welcome you”. It is our sincere desire that you will be blessed and profited in a very positive way by your presence here and that you will want to make this your “Church home”. WELCOME!!!!
