A MOMENT WITH YOUR MINISTER…

When a person obeys the gospel of Christ, thereby becoming a child of God, he should move away from a negative way of life and begin living purposefully and positively! Whereas he was in the world prior to obeying the gospel, he is now in Christ and therefore has the assurance that he is “a new creature—old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Cor. 5:17).

How marvelous to contemplate that Jesus, our savior, came into this world of sin and sorrow so that we “may have life and have it moreabundantly.” (John 10:10). We know this and we are aware of all the better things of which we are assured in the Book of Hebrews. Why then are so many who wear the name “Christian” morose and negative? I cannot give a clear answer to this question, but I do know this, each of us are individually responsible for the attitudes we display. Really, as J.J. Turner once wrote: “Christianity centers in a positive savior, based on a positive hope, revealed in a positive message, and encourages positive attitudes and actions.”

I am convinced that we can improve our attitudes and be more positive and happy. When we do this, it will be easier to influence others to become Christians. My prayer is that the following article will help.
